The authors consider the singularly perturbed problem of sorption of a substance in a large flow. The asymptotic form of the solution with respect to a small parameter is constructed; it is employed to solve the inverse problem of determining the unknown sorption isotherm and the parameters of the model. From the same standpoint, the authors also examine the problem of two-component ion exchange at high transfer rates.
