Affine torus embeddings which are complete intersections (Q1083498)

The author gives a condition which determines normal affine equivariant toroidal embeddings that are local complete intersections. In ''Normal semigroup rings which are complete intersections'' (in Japanese), Proc. Symp. Commut. Alg., Karuizawa (1978), \textit{M.-N. Ishida} shows, according to the author, a sufficient condition for a normal toroidal embedding \(X_{\sigma}\) to be a local complete intersection. In the present paper the author shows that this condition is also a necessary condition.
