Methods and algorithms are proposed for automatic construction and decomposition of the program graph, its reduction to acyclic form, construction of a minimal graph cover, combination of unexecutable paths, and creation of the converse graph. We consider the APOS system, which implements the proposed methods for automatic generation of test paths for programs written in FORTRAN IV.
