In a previous paper [the author, ibid. 22, 1373-1388 (1984; Zbl 0545.76120)] a continuum theory of rigid suspensions was presented. In this work the effect of the torque (due to surrounding viscous fluid) on the rotations of fibers was ignored. Here I consider this effect.
