The author generalizes the setting of algebraic deformation theory using triples, enriched cohomology modules and triple cohomology groups. Some results of Gerstenhaber on cohomology are generalized to this setting. The familiar definition for a one-parameter deformation to be a jump deformation is dualized to the author's context, and a cohomology theorem of Gerstenhaber and Coffee on jump deformations is generalized.
