Using Cauchy's integral formula we obtain the closed form error-estimates for the general Gauss-Chebyshev quadrature formulas. Some of the estimates of the errors of these quadratures are excellent in the sense of \textit{M. M. Chawla} [BIT, Nordisk Tidskr. Inform.-Behandl. 10, 145-155 (1970; Zbl 0208.187)].
