Die Autoren untersuchen Semidiskretisierungen für lineare parabolische Anfangs-Randwertprobleme. Unter der - gegenüber früheren Resultaten abgeschwächten - Voraussetzung, daß die Anfangsfunktion aus der Klasse \(L_ 2(\Omega)\) ist, werden Konvergenzaussagen hergeleitet, bei denen der Fehler von der Ordnung \(O(h^ 2/t)\) ist. Die Untersuchungen werden für den Laplace-Operator in zwei Raumdimensionen durchgeführt, sind aber auf allgemeinere Probleme übertragbar.
