A calculation procedure for the solution of steady state Navier-Stokes equations in primitive variable has been formulated using a coupled solution of equations by the multigrid technique. A smoothing technique called SCGS has been developed. The method has been used to investigate the flow structure in a square cavity with a moving top wall. Calculations have shown good convergence at high Reynolds number. The current CPU times are significantly smaller than other similar formulations using decoupled solutions and one grid iteration concepts.
