The time-dependent equation of transfer for a finite, plane-parallel, non-radiating, and isotropically-scattering atmosphere of arbitrary stratification is solved by using the \(F_ n\)-method developed by \textit{C. E. Siewert} and \textit{P. Benoist}, Nucl. Sci. Eng. 69, 156-160 (1979).
