The first part of the paper is concerned with sufficient optimality conditions. Fritz John conditions are established under weaker convexity conditions than those given by Mangasarian, Bector-Gulati, Bhatt-Misra, and Skarpness-Sposito. The second part deals with duality. New duals are proposed and strong duality is proved by using the Fritz John necessary conditions at the optimal point for the primal.
