By using the m-th tensor power of \({\mathbb{C}}^ n\), the author defines a generalized numerical range of an \(n\times n\) matrix and studies linear operators on \(M_ n({\mathbb{C}})\) which preserve this set. Basically these are similarities with a fixed unitary matrix.
