There are a total of 58 minimally connected \(2^ 3\) factorial designs under the additive three-way classification model. These are classified according to the A-optimality criterion. Using this criterion, these 58 designs are classified in three distinct groups. One group contains 2 designs with the value of A-optimality equal to 1. Another group contains 24 designs with the value of A-optimality equal to 2 and finally the last group contains 32 designs with the value of A-optimality equal to 2.5. Such classification is carried on when additional observations have been added to the existing minimal connected design. Some clues are given for studying the classification of minimally connected \(2^ n\) designs under additive model.
