The influence of the internal heat generation and radiation absorption in the free-convection flow of an incompressible viscous fluid past an impulsively started infinite vertical porous plate is considered. The set of the governing equations is solved by incorporating a finite-difference algorithm. The influence of the various parameters for two fluids (air and water) is discussed with the aid of graphs.
