A method to design a fuzzy controller based on a fuzzy model is suggested. The identification method of a fuzzy model is also discussed. The suggested method is applied for the modelling and control of a multilayer incinerator. The performance of the designed fuzzy controller is tested by computer simulation using the identified process model. The results are satisfactory.
