Expressions for an integral related to the Coulomb potential are given. The expressions are in terms of logarithms and polynomials or logarithms and sums of Legendre polynomials. Identities relating an infinite sum of Legendre polynomials to a finite sum of Legendre polynomials can be deduced. This expression can be used in the domain to \(t\to 1\), \(z\to 1\) where quadrature fails.
