Let p(n) and \(p_ m(n)\) denote, respectively, the number of unrestricted partitions of n, and the number of partitions of n into m parts. The well-known recursion formula for p(n) is represented by a certain determinant as well as for \(p_ m(n)\), but (as to be expected), it is rather complicated.
