The transfer-matrix operator is investigated for a gauge-invariant Ising model with a sufficiently small coupling constant. The spectrum as well as the norm of the operator of the transfer matrix are investigated in the space of the gauge-invariant functionals square-integrable with respect to the Gibbsian measure.
