This note presents a corrigendum to the second and the third author's paper [ibid. 3, 183-193 (1987; reviewed above)]. Here a numerical example - problem 1 of section 5 with the aim of presenting the correct interpretation of table 2 - is given comprehensively in new tables 2' and 1'. Comparison of tables 2' and 1' clearly shows that extrapolation does reduce the time integration errors.
