The dynamic plastic deformation of a simply-supported circular plate subjected to a pressure distribution, which is an arbitrary function of radius and time, is found to depend on the moment history applied by the pressure and the moment history applied by the pressure excess over a conical distribution. Each of these moment histories can be replaced by an equivalent rectangular pulse in determining the final deformation at the center of the plate.
