The unsteady transonic small perturbation differential equation has been converted into an integro-differential equation by application of the classical Green's function method. After assuming that the motion consists of infinitesimal perturbations around a thin, nearly-planar body a simplified integral equation is obtained for the streamwise velocity component, which is suitable for fast numerical computations.
