It is shown that under small (additive) perturbations, the trajectories of control systems in a sliding mode converge to the sliding motion of the unperturbed system. Weaker assumptions than in [\textit{V. I. Utkin}, Sliding modes in problems of optimization and control (Russian) (Moscow 1981)] are employed.
