It is shown that, when an elastic solid rotates about the axis of symmetry, the natural modes in the solid shift by an angle proportional to the angle of rotation of the solid. The porportionality factor depends on the shape of the solid and on the number of the natural mode at which it vibrates. The effect of dissipative forces is estimated. A hemispherical shell is considered as an example.
