A monotone iterative technique from interval analysis is applied to the initial value problem to obtain lower and upper bounds for solutions in a given sector. If a Lipschitz condition is satisfied relative to the sector, then the unique solution is obtained in this way. Similar results are also given for the periodic boundary value problem.
