The paper considers a state-constrained differential game of simple- motion, pursuit-evasion in the half plane such that the pursuer is faster than the evader. This game was considered by \textit{R. Isaacs} [''Differential games'' (1965; Zbl 0125.380)] who used a geometrical method. The author's approach necessitates consideration of some auxiliary differential games (state-unconstrained game, ''wall pursuit game'' and ''differential game of defending a target'').
