A proof of the existence of a classical \(\omega\)-periodic solution to the problem \(u_ t-F(u_ x)_ x=g(t,x)\), \(u(t,0)=u(t,1)=0\) is given, where g is \(\omega\)-periodic in t and F is the Ishlinksij hysteresis operator. This equation is supposed to describe the one-dimensional quasi- stationary electromagnetic field in a ferromagnetic material.
