The author claims to derive a solution of the Riccati equation \(y'=y^ 2+a(x)\) by solving only a corresponding Bernoulli equation \(w'=c(x)w^ d+d(x)w\) and a corresponding linear equation of first order. Actually, the proposed method works only in a very few cases. There are several misprints in the formulae.
