\textit{D. Goldfeld}, \textit{J. Hoffstein} and \textit{S. J. Patterson} [Prog. Math. 26, 153-193 (1982; Zbl 0499.10029)] described, among others, Eisenstein series over totally complex fields with the simplifying assumption that the class number h is equal to one. In the paper render review the author develops a theory of Eisenstein series over complex quadratic fields with \(h>1\), by using more classical (Hecke-)methods.
