This paper summarizes some results of the author on the irreducible decomposition of unramified principal series representations of quasisplit groups, the detailed account of which will be published elsewhere. These results generalize the corresponding results of \textit{F. Rodier} in the case of split groups [see Lect. Notes Math. 880, 408-424 (1981; Zbl 0465.22009)]. But the proof of the author's results is still based on Rodier's method.
