Selective perturbation of spectral properties of vibrating systems using feedback (Q1093600)

The problems of eigenvalue and eigenvector perturbation and assignment for systems ẍ\(+B\dot x+Cx=Gu\) are investigated. Applications are first made in the context of standard eigenvalue placement techniques. A new technique based on use of the differential of the spectral representation for [C B] is introduced and investigated.
