The question of the closeness of nonstationary solutions of the exact and averaged equations in an unbounded time interval is investigated for ordinary differential equations whose right-hand sides contain generalized functions of time which arise from generalized derivatives of functions of bounded variation. The results are proved with a view to applications to vibration impact systems.
