Maximal quasinilpotent subgroups and injectors for Fitting classes in finite groups (Q1094532)

The paper contains a short proof of a common generalization of some results of Dade, Fischer and Bender. In a previous paper, the author established the existence of a distinguished non-empty conjugacy class of nilpotent injectors in an arbitrary finite group. A more explicit description of these nilpotent injectors is given. Moreover, a conjugacy criterion for certain maximal quasinilpotent subgroups of finite groups is deduced. Finally the author proves the existence of injectors, in all finite groups, with respect to certain other classes of groups.
