This interesting short paper presents a new variation to the odd-even parity formulation of the integro-differential Boltzmann transport equation. The result involves second order partial derivatives of the even parity neutron angular flux with respect to both the space and angular variables. The result is a better treatment for the angular dependence of the neutron field. The new formulation suggests a new category of projection methods applied to transport problems.
