Optimum repair limit replacement policy when the lifetime depends on the number of repairs (Q1096298)

The aim of this paper is to give conditions under which an optimum policy exists in the class of all repair limit replacement policies wherein mean lifetime of i times repaired units is a constant (say \(\rho\), \(0<\rho <1)\) multiple of the mean lifetime of the i-1 (i\(\geq 2)\) times repaired units. A particular case, in which the repair time distribution is exponential is discussed.
