The paper is devoted to an analysis of the unsteady heat flow between a fluid and a solid body generating heat. Using the special functions \(Bes_ n(x,y)\) and \(Bs_ n(x,y)\), the temperature distributions are obtained in the so-called closed form. The presented way of finding the solution may be also applied when heat generation in a solid body and/or a fluid is a function of position or position and time. It is also shown that the used special functions are largely applicable in operator calculus.
