The author presents an example of a graph G in which every cycle is the mod 2 sum of triangles but no edge-deleted subgraph G-e has the same property, disproving thereby a conjecture of \textit{P. Duchet, M. Las Vergnas} and \textit{H. Meyniel} [Discrete Math. 62, 145-154 (1986; Zbl 0609.05032)].
