A method of successive approximations is applied to a problem \(u_{xy}=f(x,y)u\) \((x>x_0\), \(y>y_0)\), \(u(x,y_0)=\sigma (x)\), \(u(x_,y)=\tau(y)\) with \(\sigma (x_0)=\tau (y_0)\). No essentially new result is obtained.
