Motivated by results of Hirzebruch and Brieskorn concerning complex structures on \({\mathbb{P}}^ 1\times {\mathbb{P}}^ n,\) one studies in this paper complex structures on \({\mathbb{P}}^ 2\times {\mathbb{P}}^ 2\) of the form \({\mathbb{P}}(E)\), where E is a topologically trivial holomorphic vector bundle of rank 3 on \({\mathbb{P}}^ 2.\) The main results are concerned with the construction of examples of almost-homogeneous complex 4-folds of the above type.
