We show in this short note that our recent geometric definitions for singular systems [the author, More geometry about singular systems. Rep. LAN-ENSM No.1.87, 26th IEEE Conf. Decis. Control, Los Angeles/CA 1987] provide a natural characterization of the `complete controllability indices' introduced by \textit{V. Kučera} and \textit{P.
