In ibid. 23, No.1, 39-46 (1986), \textit{B.-J. Falkowski} and \textit{L. Schmitz} give a solution of the n queens' problem for every \(n>3\), which is composed of seven parts for \(n\in I_ k\), \(k=1,2,...,7.\) The solution presented here consists only of four parts, combining \(I_ 3\) and \(I_ 4\) and \(I_ 5\), \(I_ 6\) and \(I_ 7\) of the above mentioned solution.
