On the spiral-likeness of rational functions (Q1099284)

This paper is a study of functions of the form \[ f(z)=z/(1+\sum^{\infty}_{k=1}b_ kz\quad k) \] analytic in the disk. A necessary and sufficient condition is given for log(f(z)/z) in order that f(z) be \(\lambda\) spirallike and the region of variability of log(f(z)/z) is found. Conditions on the \(b_ k\) are given to insure that f(z) be a Robertson function. Some mapping properties of spirallike and Robertson functions of this form are established.
