We prove boundedness on \(L^ p\), \(p>1\), for a class of maximal operators on the three-dimensional Heisenberg group. These operators are defined by integrals along surfaces that are invariant under a two-parameter family of dilations. The proof uses a square-function argument and the \(L^ 2\) boundedness of certain singular integral operators.
