The results of part I on topological Markov chains extending sofic systems are completed [ibid. 48, 305-330 (1984; Zbl 0573.54032)]. To homomorphisms of sofic systems are canoniine manipulations. Their ideas are very simple and seem to be appropriate for any calculus course.
