We study the structure of a solution of the boundary-layer equations at an angle of attack which tends to a critical value in the neighborhood of a singular point, the point of zero peripheral surface friction stress. It is shown that the limiting solution is singular, but can be continued. The singularity is characterized by a break in the displacement thickness and in the two surface friction stress components.
