The surface center straight line is an extension of the concept of the distance center straight line [\textit{G. Pompilj}, On the averages of multiple random variables. Beograd 35th Session of the International Statistical Institute (1965) and the author, Metron 33(1975), No.1-2, 165-181 (1977; Zbl 0365.62064)]. The author develops sufficiency conditions for the existence of the surface center straight line of degree 2r.
