This paper analyzes the variation of pressure and load capacity with reference to load bearing human joints by introducing a continuously varying porosity model for lower plate instead of usual uniform mono or multi-layered models studied so far. A micropolar fluid film is taken as a lubricant. By suitable choice of non-dimensional porosity variation parameter \({\bar \alpha}\); it is shown that trends of variations are fairly in agreement with those recorded in earlier investigations.
