Singular measures without restrictive intervals (Q1100785)

For the transformation \(T(x)=\lambda x(1-x)\), \(0\leq \lambda \leq 4\), of [0,1] a \(\lambda\) is shown to exist for which T has no restrictive intervals, hence it is sensitive to initial conditions, but for which no finite absolutely continuous invariant measure exists for T.
