Sufficient conditions are given for the boundedness of all solutions x(t) and their derivatives in [0,\(\infty)\) of the following nonlinear equations \[ [a(t)x']+b(t)f(x,x')+c(t)g(x)h(x')=p(t,x,x'); \] \[ a(t)x''+b(t)f(x,x')+c(t)g(x)h(x')=p(t,x,x'), \] where a,b,c,f,g,h,p are suitable real-valued functions. The approach is by the ``method of integral inequalities''.
