The author gives the selfadjoint extension in \(L_ 2(\Omega;C^ 3)\) of the matrix operator \(\left( \begin{matrix} 0&irot\\ -irot &0\end{matrix} \right)\) that is defined on \({\mathcal J}\oplus\overset\circ {\mathcal J}\), where \({\mathcal J}\) and \(\overset\circ{\mathcal J}\) are certain solenoidal vector fields.
