It is required to move to the origin of coordinates in a time-optimal manner a bilinear system that has a scalar control and commuting matrices. A necessary optimality condition is obtained with the use of auxiliary functions. A sufficient optimality condition is proved for an arbitrary differential inclusion. As a corollary, a sufficient optimality condition is obtained for bilinear systems. Examples of design are also presented.
