These two papers constitute a continuation of parts I and II [ibid. 49, 459-479; 50, 97-109 (1987; Zbl 0631.54012)]. In these parts merotopies and uniformities respectively, with variations on their definitions, are brought into a picture already richly filled with topological categories. The reader working his way through this series of papers will have to keep track of some 35 different categories, some but not all equivalent.
